Alyssa Farah Griffin returned to The View following a three-day absence that kept her off the Hot Topics table.

The conservative co-host returned to her seat on the panel after feeling sick and joined Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sarah Haines, and Sunny Hostin.

Before talking politics, Goldberg welcomed Griffin back to the show, and the co-hosts greeted her with applause and excitement.

Behar noted that she was “really excited we’re going to have a baby on the show,” saying that she liked it when the co-hosts expanded their family.

Griffin was out sick for the beginning of the week and was not present on Monday’s show, which was the first live show following the Thanksgiving Day break. On Wednesday, December 3, Griffin took to social media to explain why she was not on the show, saying, “Hey guys! I’ve been down sick with a stomach virus, but will hopefully be back on The View tomorrow.”

Griffin, who is 6.5 months pregnant, said, “It’s no fun being sick” in that state, adding, “Remember it’s that time of year — be smart, use hand sanitizer, stay home if you’re sick.”
